The first step of being a follower of Christ is to show our love for the LORD. We can do this in any number of ways, but our primary way is by gathering together in corporate worship.
Weekly Worship Service
Our church services begin at 11:00 AM but are preceded by a time of community sharing about 10 minutes before the service begins. Members are invited to make annoucements and ask for prayers during this time. Our services typically include prayer, Scripture reading, hymn singing, preaching, and a morning collection. Any attire is acceptable. You can see sample bulletins on our main page.
The Chancel Choir meets weekly fall through spring for a time of singing and fun. The choir provides special music for Sunday worship and once a year at the Deshon V. A. Medical Center. They also present two cantatas a year, one during Advent and one on Palm Sunday. This is a volunteer choir and all are welcome to join the choir at any time. They rehearse on Thursdays at 6:30PM.
The Bell Choir practices weekly using two octaves of bells played by eight ringers. The bell choir practices weekly fall through spring and their special music is a part of the worship service once a month. They are also an important part of the Christmas Eve service when they provide a fifteen minute bell prelude prior to the service. They rehearse on Thursdays at 7:30PM.
The Worship Committee assists the pastor in areas relating to worship and the preparation of the space. The committee also coordinates special services, such as evening worship, prayer services, and our summer outdoor concert series. This committee is open to all members and meets quarterly or monthly, depending on the time of year - check our calendar page(s) for details.
