We love God, love one another, and then seek to serve the world.  We are working to grow as Christians in the area of service and our small groups are encouraged to find areas where they can serve together..  Below are some examples of missions that we support.

Samaritan's Purse: Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a mission of Samaritan's Purse which delivers shoeboxes filled with gifts to children all around the world.  Samaritan's Purse then partners with local churches to bring the Gospel to children who have received the gifts.

Since 2004, St. John's Reformed Church has served as a regional collection center for Butler. Every year we collect over 4,000 shoeboxes from local individuals and churches as they are delivered to our church over the course of a week.  We then pack these shoeboxes into cartons (large boxes) and load them onto a truck supplied to us by Samaritan's Purse.

Missionaries that we support:

Campus Crusade For Christ - Brad and Kim Daubenspeck

Crossworld - Don and Zoe Peffer; Campo Verde, Brazil

You can learn more about Crossworld from their website.

Rev. Lahens Sanon; Gonaives, Haiti

Rev. Sanon is a pastor in Gonaives who founded a school in 1998.  His vision is to provide an education to families no matter their socio-economic status.  As such, families are asked to pay a yearly fee but are never turned away if they are unable to afford it.  There are currently ten teachers employed, who often go without their full pay, at the school educating around 150 children.  The school building also hosts church services on the roof.  The goal for the next two years is to accrue enough funding to build blocks around the roof to secure the area where they are holding their church services.  If you would like to send additional support to Rev. Sanon and his ministry, or to learn more, visit their funding website.
